Pump readies token incentives, Grok Imagine reinvigorates AI coins, and more.

Pump.fun prepares PUMP rewards program
• PUMP incentives program revealed via SDK and interface test
• Bags.FM joins launchpad race amid Pump volume slide
• Pump silent since July 23 interview
Pump.fun appears set to roll out a trading incentives program tied to its native token, Pump (PUMP), according to updates in its SDK and changes briefly spotted on the site’s front end.
Multiple users reported the appearance of a now-removed "Rewards" tab on August 4, while developer activity on GitHub and SDK changelogs show functions enabling per-user volume tracking and token distribution.

According to Dumpster DAO, which first surfaced the changes on July 26, the system supports daily PUMP rewards based on user trading volume across Pump.fun and PumpSwap.
A placeholder allocation of 1 billion PUMP per day was identified in a test file, though sources cautioned that actual emissions are likely to differ. As of publication, Pump.fun has not issued any public confirmation.
The leak follows two weeks of silence from Pump’s team after a July 23 livestream, in which cofounder Alon declined to provide a timetable for the promised airdrop. That uncertainty contributed to a sharp selloff, though the token has since stabilized around a $1B market cap amid resumed buybacks.

The move also comes as launchpad competition intensifies. Bags.FM, a meme-focused app that pays 80% of mint fees to creators, debuted on July 29 and briefly overtook Moonshot and PumpSwap in token volume.
Pump’s daily share of token launches has declined steadily, falling to just over 15% last week, per data from Dune Analytics. Let’s Bonk maintained 85% of total volume, while Pump’s closest competitors now include Moonshot, Bags, and Jup Studio.
Grok Imagine launch sparks new AI coin wave on Solana
• xAI rolls out "Grok Imagine" with adult content toggle
• Elon Musk pitches it as “AI Vine,” plans to revive Vine archive
• New coins like FARTLESS surge; old Grok meta coins revive

The debut of Grok Imagine — an NSFW-capable image and video generator from Elon Musk’s xAI — has sparked renewed interest in Solana’s AI memecoin sector, including a second wave of Grok-themed tokens.
Grok Imagine launched August 4 for iOS users on xAI’s $30/month SuperGrok tier, allowing 15-second AI-generated videos with native audio. A “spicy mode” enables semi-nude image generation, prompting concerns about moderation and celebrity misuse. Musk described the app as “AI Vine” and announced plans to restore Twitter’s old Vine archive.

The update has reenergized tokens linked to the Grok ecosystem, as well as other AI-themed memes. FARTLESS COIN (FARTLESS), a memecoin based on the "fartcoinverse" dev wallet cluster, surged over the weekend to as high as $10M.
In July, Grok’s AI companions rollout catalyzed a boom in tokens like Ani Grok Companion (Ani), which reached a $90M peak, and Valentine Grok Companion (Valentine), which briefly surged to nearly $25M after Musk confirmed the name on X. They now trade at roughly $37M and $5M, respectively, per DexScreener.
